La Bienfaisance de Château Sanctus is located in the town of Saint-Christophe des Bardes just over the hill from Saint-Emilion, covering 16 hectares. The main plots, planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, are on the famous clay and limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion as well as the clay and sandy slopes of the adjacent hillside.
A blend of 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Organically farmed, hand-picked fruit. Fermentation via natural yeast in temperature controlled, stainless steel tanks. Aged in 50% new, 50% one-year old barrels for 12 months.

Wine SpectatorHas a toasted edge, with notes of fresh plum, cherry preserves and red licorice forming the core. The toast backs away on the finish, letting a briar hint carry the friendly fruit. Drink now through 2016. 3,250 cases made.
